This smorgasbord of seafood -think line fish, prawn meat, mussels and salmon- will set certainly set the right tone. Hake and Chips
For a showstopper that will continue the seafood theme, we suggest you try our iconic hake and chips. It’s our best-seller, and for a good reason! The melt-in-your-mouth hake is encased in an irresistible vodka and beer batter and deep-fried to perfection. To complement this piece of foodie paradise, we pair it with French fries, tangy tartar sauce and a fresh side salad.
Alternatively, you could opt for, wait for it, our mouth-wateringly tasty lamb shank. This tender Swartland-farmed meat is slow-braised with tangy citrus and Kalamata olives and matched with garlic and red wine jus… that sounds like a mouthful, and we bet you can’t wait to tuck into it! And if that’s not enough, the lamb shank at Damhuis restaurant is served with seasonal vegetables and creamy mash. It’s one of the ultimate winter dishes.
